This is a closed beta. Career Studio builds a psychological and professional profile of you
from an interview. That is sensitive information, so this page describes exactly what is collected,
where it is stored, who it is shared with, and how to get it back or delete it. If anything here is
unclear or you want your data removed, write to

Who is responsible for your data
The data controller for this beta is Alex Shevel, an individual operating this service from
Zurich, Switzerland, contactable at alexshevel@gmail.com.
A postal address is available on request to that email. The service is subject to the Swiss FADP
(revDSG); where the EU GDPR applies to you, the rights described below apply under it too.
What is collected
- Your account — email address, and an account identifier, handled by Google Firebase Authentication.
- What you tell the coach — the full transcript of your interview with Vera, including anything you
volunteer about your career, motivations and circumstances.
- Documents you upload — a CV or LinkedIn export, if you choose to provide one. The file itself is
parsed to text and deleted from the server immediately after parsing; the extracted text becomes
part of your interview material.
- The profile built from that — including a psychological read: motivational drivers, strengths and
their shadow sides, growth areas, and the coach's working hypotheses about you.
- What the coach notices over time — your conversations with Vera (the interview and any later
reflection sessions) are kept so she can look back across them for patterns, and the insight hypotheses
she draws from them are stored with your profile. You can confirm or reject each one, and your verdict is
final. All of it is included in your export and your delete, like everything else.
- Your job-search working data — target companies, pipeline stages, outreach drafts and notes.
No advertising identifiers, no tracking pixels, no third-party analytics are used. Your network
contacts are only processed if you explicitly import them.
Where it is stored, and who else sees it
- Google Firebase (authentication and database, European region) holds your account and your live
profile and dashboard state.
- The beta server keeps a copy of each completed research run on disk so a long run is not lost if
your connection drops, and a transcript of your conversations with the coach so later sessions can build
on earlier ones. Both live outside the web-served area, are covered by export and delete, and are purged
with everything else at the end of the beta.
- Anthropic processes your interview text and profile to power the coach and the research
synthesis. Your material is sent to their API as part of providing the service.
- Public job boards and company career pages are queried during research. These queries are about
companies, and your personal information is not sent to them.
Your profile is never sold, published, or shared with recruiters or employers. Nothing is sent
anywhere on your behalf: outreach messages are drafts for you to review, copy and send yourself.
The private layer stays private
The coach's psychological read — its inferences about how you are wired, your growth areas, its open
questions and its counter-evidence — is written for you. If you ever generate a recruiter-facing
document, that internal layer is stripped out by default: a shareable profile carries only your stated
purpose, values and professional material. This is enforced in code, not by policy alone.
How long it is kept
Your data is kept for as long as the beta is running, so your dashboard is there whenever you come
back to it. Seven days after the beta closes, all of it is deleted — profiles, research runs,
outreach data, the lot. You'll be told when that clock starts, and the week is there so you have time
to export anything you want to keep first.
You can delete everything yourself before then, at any time, and that takes effect immediately.
Uploaded files are the exception to all of the above: those are deleted within seconds of being
parsed, and are never retained.
Your rights
You can exercise these yourself, in the app, at any time:
- Get a copy — More → Log & data → Export everything downloads your dashboard state
together with the data held on the server, as one JSON file.
- Correct it — More → Your profile makes every field the coach concluded editable, and
"Go deeper with the coach" reopens the interview to correct or extend it.
- Delete it — More → Log & data → Delete my data erases your profile, research runs and
outreach data from both the database and the server. This cannot be undone.
You also have the right to object to processing, to restrict it, and to complain to a supervisory
authority — in Switzerland the FDPIC, or your local authority in the EU.
Legal basis
Processing is based on your consent, given when you start the interview, and on the necessity of
processing to provide the service you asked for. Because the profile includes psychological
assessment, consent is the operative basis for that part — and you may withdraw it at any time by
deleting your data, which stops all processing.
Beta caveats, stated plainly
- This service is under active development and is offered without warranty.
- It runs on a small operator-managed setup rather than a hardened production platform.
- Please do not enter information you would not be comfortable having on a beta system — for example
health details, or anything covered by an NDA.
